The Black Educators Collective (BlackEd Co.) is a non-profit organization for black educators & allies in the DC Metro Area. Focused on catering to the holistic needs of black educators, BlackEd Co seeks to engage, elevate and retain black teachers, counselors, administration, and school staff.
Our organization's vision is built around three core tenets: Engage - by providing opportunities for educators to gather, fellowship, and collaborate; Elevate - by partnering with other organizations and businesses to promote financial literacy, home ownership, wellness, and entrepreneurship, and positively impacting the communities we serve; Retain - by creating a support system to retain highly qualified educators who care for the DC Metro area.
