Bread & Roses’ mission is to address the core necessities of the Merrimack Valley’s community members with a holistic and welcoming approach focusing on food insecurity and promoting self empowerment.
We serve everyone. We never require any form of ID, which allows us to help everyone access food, laundry, clothing, diapers, toiletries, and other critical needs. Unlike most non-profits, we do not accept any form of government or state funding and rely entirely on our community to help us help over 30,000 households annually. Our biggest program is our Emergency Pantry, which is making a 5000% greater impact than last year. Our pantry functions as a grocery store, which provides more autonomy for our guests to select the items they need for the families cultural and dietary needs.
Our small team strives to remove the barriers to food and other necessities. With costs rising, more working families need help than ever before. We believe everyone, regardlesss of their circumstances, has a right to food, and continue to fight hunger every day.
