For the past 40 Years, Camp Able at Coronado has offered a unique beach-based day camp experience for thousands of children and adults with disabilities in San Diego County. Our participants include those with autism, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, as well as an enormous range of other medically fragile needs. We are able to assist our participants in realizing a broad range of activities, despite their medical needs or limitations.
Camp Able is dedicated to providing a summer beach camp experience without the barriers of a disability. The majority of our campers are low-income, often burdened by the costs of expensive therapies for their conditions, and do not have funds available for recreational activities. We pride ourselves on never turning down campers due to inability to pay.
