Camp Sunrise is an extraordinary camp for children with, or who have survived, cancer. It is a week-long, cost-free sleep away summer camp held every August near Annapolis, MD. Camp Sunrise is organized and fully staffed by volunteers and includes round the clock medical care for children who are in treatment or have special medical needs. Strong bonds form between campers as they share their experiences and find empathy and understanding. Staff and counselors, many of whom are cancer survivors themselves, provide great role models and a beacon of hope for future lives to be lived to the fullest. Meanwhile, back at home, families enjoy a well-earned week of respite knowing their children are being cared for in every way.
Our mission is to provide joyful camping experiences that foster confidence, and friendship for children and families on their cancer journey.
