Labouré Center was founded in 1907 to serve the needy in and around South Boston. Our Center remains the area's leader in Workforce Development/Adult Education, Family Stabilization Programs and Youth, Elders & Health Programs. As the demographics of Boston and Greater Boston changes, we remain the only local nonprofit who works with residents in the three South Boston public housing projects and the Boston Housing Authority's elder and disabled residences. Our mission is to build a just and compassionate society rooted in teh dignity of all people.
