The Coldspring Volunteer Fire Department is comprised of residents from the community whom spend their free time helping the community and risking their lives at times to keep the other residents of Coldspring and surrounding areas safe. Our departments provides services such as fire fighting, swift water rescue, national junior fire fighting program, CE Training courses, search and rescue, disaster assistance, and currently aquired state licensing for an FRO program (First Responder Organization). We aid the communtity all year with assistance from other charities such as Toys for Tots, Coldspring Area Buisness and Merchant organization needs, community out reach with the local cummunity center, as well as fire prevention training to the community with programs like Sound the Alarm. Where we provide free fire alarms (Provided By the Red Cross) to anyone who needs them. We have currently brought food trucks into the county to aid our needy during the COVID-19 shut down, as well as provided home made masks to the essential and elderly in our community.
