Community Partners with Youth is a non-profit after school and summer program for at-risk youth in K-8. Since 1997, CPY has worked along side the local school district, City of New Brighton, and community members to reduce juvenile crime and provide a safe, positive environment for the youth to grown and flourish with the help of positive adult role models.

During program, the youth have opportunities to develop life-skills such as cooking, learn how to budget and even grocery shop. We provide many hands-on, enriching activities that include service learning, and team building. We also work with other groups such as, Friends of the Library to work specifically with the youth developing their reading skills.

Since many of our youth participate in the free/reduced lunch program at school, we want to ensure they are getting the proper nutrition after school, so we provide 2-3 meals a week. And when a meal isn't served, a very healthy and full snack is provided. Each year, CPY serves approximately 23,000 meals and snacks.
