EAST Iniative's mission is to provide an environment that fosters relevant, individualized life-changing experiences through service and technology. EAST desires to transform the educational experience so innovative thinkers can drive positive change for their future, community, and world.
EAST Iniative is a nonprofit organization headquartered in Little Rock. EAST started at Greenbrier High School in 1996, and has since expanded to more than 260 schools in four states. EAST is education accelerated by service and technology. We currently serve over 26,000 students in Arkansas through multiple EAST classes at their school. Through EAST, students are encouraged to think critically and innovate to create positive change in their communities with the technology EAST provides for their classrooms. EAST offers year-round training to students; professional development for EAST educators; and professional development for all classroom teachers through Education Unleashed.
EAST believes all children should have access to the best tools that will empower them to make positive changes in their communities. We are proud of the role that EAST has played and continues to play in Arkansas. We continue to advocate for lifelong learning and community service. We continue to cultivate agents of positive change through critical thinking and creative problem solving.
