Students In Action is a student-led service club based at Fishers High School in Fishers, Indiana. We strive to incorporate service-based learning into our community by holding fundraisers, executing service projects, and teaching elementary schoolers how to implement service into their lives as well. This past semester we held a service day camp for elementary students on one of our e-learning days. We did three service projects with them, ranging from tie blankets for homeless shelters to picking up trash outside around the community, as well as coloring letters for food donations. We put on a shoe drive for a company that provides shoes for our school district. We also went around and hand-delivered letters to 500 houses in our community asking for non-perishable food items for our local food pantry and we hosted a Pink Out fundraiser at multiple basketball games in order to raise money for breast cancer awareness and research. We have been a club at FHS for about 5 years now and each year we strive to increase our outreach and our influence.
