Every June, Forest Avenue Public School holds its Fun Fair, our signature fundraising event. We hope you can help us reach our goal of $18,000 as we are raising money for an outdoor learning centre that will give our students new ways to learn outdoors!
Where does the money go?
Our school is located in the heart of Port Credit with approximately 200 students from kindergarten to grade six. Funds raised at Fun Fair are allocated by our School Council to create opportunities to enhance every student’s learning experience, both inside the classroom and out. In addition to the outdoor learning centre,
the money supports many initiatives, including class excursions, skating trips, in‐school performances, equipment purchases and a fresh fruit program.
How do we raise money?
At Fun Fair, our families and neighbours come together, as a school and community, for a night of fun and fundraising. During the Fun Fair, the school is transformed into a carnival‐like setting with lots of games, activities, food, themed rooms, and a silent auction to raise as much money as we can for our school.
