The Friends of the Cortland County Child Advocacy Center is a 501c3 corporation dedicated to the prevention, education, and investigation of child abuse. Our Board is made up of 12 members who assist with community awareness and fundraising activities.

Our Team is made up of prosecution, law enforcement, child protective services, medical and mental health professionals, and victim advocates. Our agency serves over 200 child victims and their family members each year. We provide evidence-based child abuse prevention to over 3,000 students in Cortland County per year. Victims are provided advocacy at the hospital, advocacy center, court procedures, etc. Advoctes assist with filing victim claims to assist families with reimbursement of out of pocket costs surrounding the abuse. The Center provides funding, through fundraising, to cover the cost of family activities and needs (emergency housing, food, transportation, summer camps, outings, clothing, furniture, etc.).
