Since the founding of the Girl Scout Movement in 1912, nearly 2 million girl members and more than 50 million Girl Scout alumnae are united across decades by a spirit of lifelong friendship, shared adventure, and the desire to make the world a better place. At any given time, only 10% of U.S. girls are scouts, yet: 50% of female business leaders; 80% of female tech leaders; 76% of female U.S. Senators; and 100% of female U.S. Secretaries of State were Girl Scouts. For 110 years, Girl Scouts has done more than any other organization to provide leadership opportunities for girls from K-12 through adulthood, and our alumnae are living proof of our impact.
