Description
The PTO is a non-profit organization that exists exclusively for the charitable, educational, and scientific purposes, including the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Purpose
The purpose of the Harriet Bishop Parent Teacher Organization is:
- To enhance and support the educational experience of Harriet Bishop Elementary School students and staff;
- To maintain a support system among parents, staff, students, and the community;
- To develop a closer connection between school and home by encouraging parent involvement; and
- To improve the environment at Harriet Bishop Elementary school through volunteer and financial support.
