This Foundation is a fundraising organization that works to provide funding for law students who pursue summer jobs and internships in public interest and social justice. The work performed can range from working at a Public Defender’s office to working at a legal aid organization. The central purpose is to support communities that lack access to legal resources and provide legal services to marginalized and vulnerable communities. Unfortunately, most public interest jobs are unpaid. This means that many of our law students require funding to accept these unpaid jobs and internships. As such, HPILF provides grants for students who are pursuing this type of work.
