Houchin Community Blood Bank is a local blood bank here in Kern County that opened its doors in 1951. Our mission is to help save lives by providing blood and blood related products to the community. Kern County needs blood, platelets, and plasma so no one fears losing their life over a shortage. Every 2 seconds, someone in the US needs blood. Demand is high, but we can help. When you give, people live!
