Intercommunity Action (Interact) is a community-based, not-for-profit organization whose mission is to help people live fulfilling lives by providing resources for Aging, Behavioral Health, and Intellectual & Development Disabilities. Interact uses a mix of corporate, organizational, and private monetary and in-kind support every year to raise over $50,000 at our "Caring for the Community" auction. All donors receive gift receipts as well as post-event reports. Donors are recognized in our program book, on our website, and in our annual report. Our programs include affordable housing for seniors, and those with intellectual & developmental disabilities and serious and persistent mental illness; recovery-oriented services for those experiencing behavioral-health issues, substance abuse and/or co-occurring disorders; behavioral healthcare service to children and families through outpatient and in-school supports; service to older adults needing a range of assistance, from social activities to caregiver respite and supervised care to the frail elderly; a variety of assistance to those with intellecual & developmental disabilities and their families; and basic needs, case management, and referral services to the greater Northwest Philadelphia Region.
