At Lakeshore, our PTA provides funding for programs that enrich our students’ learning beyond traditional academics, such as Motor Perception, Science in the Garden, Art, Capoeira, and Yoga. We organize community events that bring our diverse families together. In addition, we pick up where district funds end, supplementing funds for teacher grants and classroom supplies and trips. We are a 501(c)(3) organization, Tax ID# 94-3042896.
Lakeshore Elementary School is a diverse and inclusive school community, committed to providing a rigorous, equitable education for all students.
We are writing to seek your help as we solicit donations for our spring auction. Over 50% of our families are low income, and we are one of the city’s most diverse schools in the district, so your support for Lakeshore can have a huge impact. The programs your donation will make possible will help bring joy into the student’s lives, while also giving teachers the resources they need.
Lakeshore has been recognized by SF Gate and the SF Chronicle as one of the most diverse public elementary schools in San Francisco with close to 405 students from many ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds.
