MakerGirl is a not-for-profit organization that educates 7 to 22-year-old girls in STEM through multi-level 3D Printing workshops. Since our founding in 2014, we have educated over 5,300 girls through our MakerGirl Academies, #MakerGirlGoesMobile program, and our virtual sessions. We separate ourselves from other organizations doing similar work in STEM education by focusing on 3D printing because we have found that 3D printing and CAD allow girls to be both analytical and creative. We believe that when girls experience the scope and creativity within STEM, they feel more confident and capable of pursuing STEM interests and careers.
