Milton Community Resource Centre (MCRC) is a not-for-profit, multi-service organization that has been providing services to children and families of Milton and the surrounding communities for over 26 years. MCRC strives to meet the diverse cultural, social, and economic demands of families and professionals by offering a wide range of high quality, inclusive, accessible, and affordable programs and supports.
From infancy through to age 12, our services and supports have been designed to promote children and their guardians to thrive, be valued and succeed.
Through our EarlyON and Family Fun programs we provide early learning programs for children, their parents, and caregivers.
Through our Licensed Child Care programs, MCRC provides quality early learning and care. MCRC’s main location hosts many of our programs including the Bronte Street School, a Nursery School program and CHERISH Home Child Care. MCRC also has Early Learning Centres at Bruce Trail Public School and Viola Desmond Public School as well as Before and After School Child Care programs serving 9 area schools.
MCRC’s free Empowerment Programs, support girls and women who are impoverished, vulnerable or at risk resulting in a negative impact on their safety, well-being, and sense of belonging. Programs under this umbrella include the Infant Food Bank, Period Power Initiative and our She Can! girls centred programs.
MCRC’s The Halton Resource Connection works in partnership with individuals and organizations who serve the interests of children and youth providing curriculum resources, services, and professional learning. THRC is equipped with the technology and information required to reach over 2000 Educators and support staff in the early years field.
MCRC is proud to have achieved accreditation from the Imagine Canada Standards Program along with becoming a certified Great Place to Work in both 2022 and 2023.
