The mission of the New Braunfels Public Library Foundation is to raise funds for programming needs and capital projects not traditionally covered by city funding. Past projects include the addition of a coffee and snack kiosk in the main lobby of the library, the complete redo of the Children's Room, and the purchases of a bookmobile ($240,000) and a Sprinter van ($60,000) that delivers books to the homebound. Since its inception in 1996 the NBPL Foundation has raised over $1,000,000 for library projects.

Thank you for this opportunity to apply for a donation. We appreciate all of the support we get for the library because we see how important the library is in the lives of our citizens. The library offers a safe place where children, adults, and seniors can come, learn, and expand their lives AT NO COST. In fact, the library is one of the few places where you can spend an afternoon and not expect to spend any money. Andrew Carnegie believed so strongly in the importance of libraries that he spent his vast fortune building them. The Foundation's goal is to expand and improve the library system for the benefit of our city and we can do it with the help of companies like yours.
