The purpose of the North East Educational Foundation is to seek, cultivate, and obtain revenues to develop and expand educational opportunities for the students of the North East Independent School District (NEISD). NEEF underwrites projects and porgrams that enhance the basic required curriculum and broaden the range of students' educational experience.
The North East Educational Foundation (NEEF) is the nonprofit partner to NEISD, the twelfth largest school district in Texas with nearly 60,000 students across 72 campuses. While our District continues to do more with less funding, our Foundation exists to bridge the gaps created by these funding shortages. Our students deserve the highest-level of enrichment in their education and it is our goal to ensure that they receive all the additional support needed.
Our Foundation supports both students and teachers. Since 1986, NEEF has funded over 700 educational grants. Every year, our Foundation receives over a million dollars in grant requests from teachers. NEEF provides funding for innovative ideas and priority projects. We fund projects in several areas including: STEM/STEAM, Athletics, Arts, Mental Health and Counseling, Reading, Special Education, and Outdoor Learning and Play.
NEISD and NEEF work together to provide access to high-quality education and prepare students for life after graduation whether they choose to continue their education or immediately enter the workforce. NEEF is committed to creating new educational opportunities and giving students the best learning opportunites possible to prepare them for success beyond the classroom.
