I am writing to request that Story Land participate in the Old Colony YMCA’s Annual Spin-A-Thon by becoming an event donor.
On Saturday, March 14, 2020, the Old Colony YMCA in Stoughton MA will be holding our 10th Annual Spin-A-Thon to support the Annual Campaign. Individuals will be riding spin bikes in one hour increments to raise awareness of the important work the Y does in local communities. The event runs for 7 hours beginning at 7:30am and our spin instructors lead this event with an amazing amount of energy. Our 175 riders are already getting ready to go!
The Spin-A-Thon has become the most important event in support of the Annual Campaign at the Stoughton Y. It allows families to become members at the Y and exercise together. It provides swimming lessons to learn safe water skills, it allows special needs and disabled children the opportunity to participate in sporting and humanities programs through our Y-Ability program. It gets kids into After School programs at the Y, supports the Diabetes Prevention program, provides scholarship funds for Camperships, allows cancer patients to gain strength and support with LIVESTRONG at the Y, provides support and fitness programs for our Veterans and provides support in the community when needed. All of these programs develop healthy habits that follow parents and children for a lifetime.
While our riders do a wonderful job of fundraising they cannot do it alone. We receive sponsorship from businesses and foundations and have raffles to help us reach our goal of $100,000. I am writing to request that your business participate in the Old Colony YMCA’s Annual Spin-A-Thon by providing a raffle item. In conjunction with the Spin-A-Thon, there will be an Open House, attracting hundreds of people from many surrounding communities. Your business will be recognized as a raffle donor and be seen by all who attend.
Please consider donating a raffle item to help us reach our goal. All the money raised by this event stays right at the Stoughton Y so we can support those who need our help. Your donation is tax deductible. Our 501(c)(3) number is 04-2125014. Donations can be sent to:
