One Bright Star is excited to host a “Celebration of Life Masquerade Ball” fundraising event on Saturday February 24^th, 2018 at the Country Inn and Suites in Mankato, MN. This is a black-tie optional event featuring a social hour, dinner, silent & live auctions, meat raffle, and entertainment provided by Jared Sherlock, Comic Magician and Illusionist. This special night draws attention to our respective mission, celebrates the lives of children lost and raises funds to allow our organization to continue its mission.

One Bright Star's mission is to be a resource for grieving families who have experienced the death of a child. This night allows families to pay tribute to the memory of their child. The funds raised at this event will support:

• Our annual Children’s Memorial Service and the continuing maintenance of the Children's Memorial site in Erlandson Park, Mankato.
• The distribution of our support packets to newly bereaved families which includes a free grief journal and One Bright Star pin.
• Our monthly radio program “Life After Loss” on KTOE and our One Bright Star television segment on KTV.
• Our Mothers of Angels Painting Event and Children’s Mini Camp.
• Matching grants for children’s memorial plaques and One Bright Star jewelry.
