Pickering Ajax Army Cadets was first established in 1954 and continues to parade every Monday night at Pickering High School. Offering additional training in Marksmanship, Band/Music, Orienteering, Sports and Drill, The Army Cadet program for young men and women is designed to teach the youth (12-18 years of age) of our community the value of citizenship. Leadership skills, personal responsibility, and a sense of accomplishment are some of the skills and behaviors enforced as a cadet, while instilling a healthy self-esteem. Ontario Regiment 2525 Army cadets Corp prepares our community's youth for responsible leadership roles while making them aware of their rights, responsibilities and privileges as Canadian citizens.

Our leadership development program is a stimulus for promoting excellence in high school youth and acts as strong encouragement for a post-high school education.
