Parents Engaged in Education is a charity whose mission is to provide free resources and skill building opportunities to parents and communities to increase capacity to support at risk youth. The goal of our grassroots work (we also do higher level work with parents throughout Ontario) is to reduce teen violence, suicide and school drop out.
We aim to provide mental health resources and tools for families that not only reduce the stigma of mental illness and direct them to seek out supports that will assist them in working together to resolve issues.
In addition, we are working with youth to DREAM BIG and work hard to achieve these dreams. To work towards a future that is better than the one they may be living today.
We work to build community bridges to encompass all ethnic, income levels, sexual identity, religiion and new immigrant populations to work together and raise up every child to their greatest potential.
We currently are seeking support for a free community event we are hosting on August 27th for the Malvern/Scarborough area. We will be conducting a silent auction to raise funds to support this project at this event.
