When you visit Parkwood you are stepping back in time, a chance to experience the home and legacy of the late R.S. McLaughlin, Canadian auto baron and founder of General Motors of Canada.  Inspired by early 20th century Beaux-Arts design, this 55 room mansion was built between 1915 and 1917.  The art, architecture, gardens, and original furnishings are all faithfully preserved in this National Historic Site.

Directly supporting important preservation and conservation initiatives, to ensure this piece of Canadian history and the legacy of the McLaughlin Family remains available for the education and enjoyment of the public for years to come.
