The Placer HS Music Boosters provides support to the Placer HS Music Program Bands and Choirs.  Our support consists of providing operating funds, volunteer services, and organizational coordination as requested by the Department Instructors.  Our mission is to provide opportunities for the students in the music program to develop Proficiency, Reliability, Integrity, Discipline, and Excellence (P.R.I.D.E).  We assist with uniforms, instrument repair and replacement (when necessary), affiliation and competition fees, music, coaching stipends, etc.  We provide administrative assistance in areas such as, but not limited to, chaperoning, uniforms, equipment transport, refreshments, music student transportation to music department sanctioned events, competitions, etc.  Through our fundraising efforts, we provide the financial support needed for a comprehensive music program.  We depend on community support to help us with our efforts.

The school district gives only $4,000 annually to the Placer HS Music Department to fund all activities for the school year.  About 120 students participate in the Marching Band, Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, Pep Band, Choir, Chamber Choir, and Drumline Programs at Placer High.  It takes approximately $25,000 annually to support the Music Department.

Our volunteer organization raises the necessary funds for operation to keep Music at Placer High. We do this through major fundraising efforts, with the March Crab Feed event being our largest fundraiser of the year.  All proceeds from our efforts are 100% benefit to the Music program.
