Possumwood Acres Wildlife Sanctuary rehabilitates injured, orphaned and sick wildlife and then we return them to the wild to live the lives they were meant to live. We also offer a forever home to those that can't successfullly survive in the wild. Our team rehabilitates over 2200 animals per year and takes care of over 200 permanent residents. In addition, we educate our citizens about the important role that our wildlife has in our world, the necessity for conservation of our planet and its resources, and the need for respect for all living things. We encourage positivity and healthy living habits, work together learning team building skills, learn and implement problem solving skills. Our organization benefits our citizens as well as our wildlife. Our educational services provide encounters with some of our resident ambassador animals as well as accurate education about specific wild animal habits, diets, benefits to our ecosystem, and respect for lives.
