I'm reaching out on behalf of Scripps Ranch Theatre, Tax ID 91-1997458, a local 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to cultivate a love for live theatre among diverse audiences by delivering high-quality artistry on stage and online. For over forty years, we have brought incredible live theatre to the residents of San Diego!
In addition, we are proud to have a thriving Education and Outreach Program. In recent years, SRT has traveled to local middle and high schools throughout the region to provide special performances and talk back sessions to more than 800 students throughout the County. Schools included Nativity Prep Academy (in southeast San Diego), Scripps Ranch High, San Diego High, Point Loma High and Horace Mann Middle School. For many of these students, this experience marked their first exposure to live theatre. Additionally, the SRT Education and Outreach Program hopes to reinvigorate our six-week children’s theatre program that provides children ages 8-13 with the chance to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of both the acting and technical worlds of performance.
