Our mission is to prepare college and career-ready students for postsecondary success.

Southwest Public Schools is a premier district of choice that meets the diverse needs of all students by creating an inclusive community that fosters a strong sense of self-worth. We believe that all students can learn if we meet their needs; innate learning depends on a safe, nurturing, inclusive, and flexible environment; and education is the shared responsibility of the community. We are committed to creating an outstanding learning environment resulting in skillful, knowledgeable, well-equipped citizens who adapt to the cultural, intellectual, and social challenges in a changing world. Our mission is to prepare college and career-ready students for postsecondary success, and we need your assistance to make our students’ dreams become reality!

Although Southwest Public Schools began with just 250 students over twenty years ago, we now serve the southwest community with 1,600+ students from Houston and surrounding areas. Our growing population includes children ages 3 to 18 attending two elementary schools, one middle school, one high school, and we provide educational services to residential treatment facilities in the greater Houston area. Within our demographic, 87% of our students are poor, and 90% of our students are at risk of dropping out of school.

Our students come to school with little resources, and we depend on partnerships with local organizations. This has only been possible with the continued support of people like you who have offered us help monetarily, sheltering, and supplying clothing, school supplies, goods, and services. We are reaching out to you today because we know your personal philosophy and objectives parallel one of our top priorities which is to serve the community where we live! Therefore, we are asking your company for a donation to support our students and families. We know these types of partnerships help us give back and enhance actions our students can take toward helping their future and the future of our community.
