My name is Shannon Kreiter. I am the Health and Safety Officer for the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office. I have been in the process of creating a viable health initiative at our agency for the past year.
One of my goals is to promote fun through unified team work.
I write to you today, as I am on a mission to improve the health and wellbeing of the deputies at Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office through a new program.
Our law enforcement officers are enduring, to no one’s surprise, historically high stress and anxiety levels. The effect this has on them takes an overwhelming toll mentally and physically. Our Agency is moving forward to assist our men and women by promoting healthy living programs, peer support and incentive challenges. By implementing physical, mental and nutritional support as well as team building challenges we are improving morale and health throughout the agency.
As you can imagine, this mission is not an easy one. We would be so grateful for your support of our endeavor and the support toward the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office.
Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office is a non-profit organization. We do have an associated 501c3 corporation status through The Friends of Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office of Community Policing.
