Every fall, the Student American Veterinary Medical Association Chapter (SAVMA) of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine holds its annual auction. SAVMA spearheads major philanthropy events, which benefit both animals and residents in the local Philadelphia area. The auction finances special speakers, supports student-run clubs, and educational opportunities for PennVet students. Additionally, proceeds are given back to students through travel grants for veterinary conferences, symposia, and externships.
