About Supportive Housing Communities (SHC) and Our Mission
Supportive Housing Communities (SHC) is a Charlotte-based nonprofit dedicated to providing affordable, permanent housing for the most vulnerable homeless individuals and families in our community. We don’t just give people a place to live—we also ensure they have the ongoing support needed to succeed. Each household is assigned a dedicated caseworker who helps them maintain their housing and access critical services, ultimately leading to long-term stability and success.
