The Father’s Heart Ministries is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit incorporated in 1997 to fulfill our mission of helping people move from dependency to dignity and from poverty to prosperity.
For the past 20 years, The Father’s Heart Ministries has offered critical services to vulnerable New Yorkers. Our programs include:
Hunger Prevention: we provide hot meals and groceries to 500-700 individuals each week;
Job Training: through Alphabet Scoop, our ice cream store, we offer local teens employment opportunities, job training, and mentoring;
GED/ESL Tutoring: our Adult Center for Education offers free tutoring and test preparation;
Men’s Transition Program: we offer a work and counseling program for men transitioning from homelessness, incarceration, unemployment, and/or substance abuse;
KidZone: we offer a hunger prevention program specifically for children and their families with additional enrichment features for the children;
Health and Legal Services: through partnerships with other local service providers, we offer participants in our programs on-site access to dental and medical screenings and referrals; eye exams, free glasses, and referrals, and a free legal aid desk.
