The San Diego Museum of Art's mission is to inspire, educate, and cultivate curiosity through great works of art. Since 1926, the San Diego Museum of Art has been inspiring the public with world-class exhibitions, programs, workshops, and events that create an inclusive environment for shared community experiences rooted in arts and culture. SDMA impacts the lives of 50,000 students annually with our extensive arts education programming and initiatives for at-risk youth. We believe that art should be accessible to all and starting in 2016 have continued to offer free admission to youth under 17. SDMA cultivates a region of social awareness with accessible arts and cultural resources for everyone. Through SDMA's education and outreach programs, delivery of nationally and internationally recognized exhibitions and art works, and accessible and thought-provoking experiences, events, and content to San Diego, SDMA will advance the San Diego region's access to the arts, enriching our community.
