The Turning Point Rape Crisis Center of Collin County is a non-profit whose mission is to provide counseling, education, and advocacy for those impacted by sexual violence. All services are provided free of charge to sexual violence survivors as well as their families and friends. The Turning Point provides free counseling, medical and legal advocacy services, law enforcement training, forensic nurse exam, and community education and outreach trainings. In November of 2018, The Turning Point opened Courtney’s SAFE Place, the first and only community based forensic clinic in North Texas, (one of three in the entire state of Texas.) Courtney's SAFE Place provides survivors with free forensic exams and advocacy in the survivor-centered offices of The Turning Point.
