We are a group of mostly women veterans dedicated to saving animals in our community from being euthanized in shelters, living as strays, or ending up in abusive situations. We pool our resources together with donations from our supporters to relocate animals where their fates are full of love and admiration. Although without a facility, we rely solely on fosters/volunteers. In 2022 alone, Windy Ridge Rescue was responsible for the adoptions of 396 cats and 86 dogs. We transported 60 cats and 219 dogs to our partner rescues after ensuring they were up-to-date on all vaccinations and spayed/neutered (if old enough). Windy Ridge Rescue also improved the local cat community, by having 565 feral cats trapped, neutered (or spayed), and returned (TNR'd). We accept countless accidental litters and family pets for rehoming to prevent them from being surrendered to one of the many high kill shelters in the area.
