MISSION STATEMENT
Summit School of the Poconos will deliver a project-based curriculum within a
democratic and movement-rich environment that will ready our students for a
competitive, evolving workforce by fostering critical thinking, creativity,
innovation, and collaboration.
Guiding Principles established by our core beliefs will serve as the foundation for
our mission satement.

GUIDING PRINCIPLES
At Summit School of the Poconos, we believe that:
• Engaged, inspired students will foster a life-long love of learning.
• The learning process should be valued as much as the results.
• Learning is not only measured by the knowledge an individual possesses, but
by a capability to apply it.
• A competency-based education is more meaningful than a time-based
