The mission of the Heart of Texas Sertoma Club is to improve the lives of deaf and hard of hearing young people in Waco and McLennan County both educationally and socially by providing hearing aids, medical exams when needed by Ear, Nose and Throat specialists, scholarships for hearing impaired high school seniors and college students and other appropriate services working with Baylor University Audiology Clinic. And, for the last 10 years, we have provided hearing screening audiometers and otoscopes to Region 10 school nurses to try and find these hearing impaired children at an early age.
