Despite significant improvements in survival rates for many blood cancers, every three minutes someone is diagnosed with this disease and every nine minutes, someone loses their battle to it. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. We achieve this through our three pillars - research, patient support and education programs, and advocacy for healthcare access. Nationwide, we serve thousands of patients and their families annually.

LLS is the global leader in the fight against blood cancer. Since 2017, LLS has contributed to 85% of the FDA approved treatments for blood cancer patients. Since the organization was founded in 1949, over $1.7B has been invested in groundbreaking research, pioneering many of today's most innovative approaches. In addition, LLS has provided patients and their families with more than $234M in co-pay assistance, making treatments more affordable. With our nationwide grassroots network of more than 50,000 active online volunteers, we drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.
